Heliopan Rubber Hood

Elastic sun visors are foldable and consist of an elastic special rubber mixture (UV light-resistant and temperature-independent), which are vulcanized onto the metal ring so that they cannot be removed. The most important accessory for amateurs and professionals is the sun visor, also known as the lens hood. The unprotected front lens of the lens is very strongly exposed to the scattering effect of the light, which usually remains invisible to the eye, but has a contrast-reducing effect on the color saturation and brilliance in the image.

A sun visor, on the other hand, not only protects against incident side or back light, but also against light reflections, as well as against unwanted rain or other negative influences. It is important to ensure that the use of a lens hood always corresponds to the focal length of the lens.
