This filter from Fotodiox is a UV (0) filter, coated with multiple layers to prevent glare and lens protection. Helpful when photographing mountain and marine scenes, where increased haze threatens to make your photographs indistinct in color and clarity. UV (Haze) filters are wise investments. They help protect your camera from dust, moisture and scratches. If desired, they may be left on the lens at all times for protection. UV filters provide additional benefits of correction for Ultraviolet (UV) light, which can register on film and videotape as a bluish cast and can obscure distant details. Ultraviolet filters allow you to correct for the UV effect to varying degrees. The lens is Super Multi-Coated to minimize reflection at the filters surface; therefore, reducing flare and ghosting.
